Every year, hundreds of individuals across Nepal experience spinal cord injuries, many of them from remote, underprivileged communities. Their lives change in an instant, not just physically, but emotionally, socially and economically. The road ahead becomes filled with barriers such as inaccessible infrastructure, lack of assistive devices, limited education and job opportunities and deep social stigma. For many, hope fades before it can take root. Spinal Cord Injury Network Nepal (SCINN) exists to change that story and we need your support to continue.
SCINN is a national network founded and led by individuals with spinal cord injuries, committed to promoting dignity, independence, and full inclusion. Our work is guided by the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) and aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) especially SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).

Through our core programs including the Independent Living Practice Home for students with SCI, peer counseling, vocational training, adoptive sports and recreation, assistive device distribution, and rights-based advocacy, we empower individuals with spinal cord injuries to rebuild their lives with strength and confidence. We work hand in hand with government bodies, civil society, and international allies to ensure policies are inclusive, voices are heard, and no one is left behind.
Your support means more than charity it is a lifeline. With your help, we can provide food, medical care, school materials, and accessible housing for young students. We can deliver peer support, organize empowering adaptive sports programs and advocate for the rights and visibility of Nepal’s SCI community. Most importantly, your contribution helps restore hope, purpose and dignity to those who need it most.
Join us in building a Nepal that upholds the rights of every person, regardless of their physical condition. Support SCINN and be a part of a movement that transforms lives.
